As the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, and the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step, we’re mixing up our “Old Sayings” here. CNN’s health did a wonderful and fascinating video expose on the battle against bug borne, more specifically mosquito borne illnesses that has got to be seen to be believed. Basically the short version is how at a 3,500 square foot mosquito factory in China a handful of researchers, not least of all, Zhiyong Xi, are breeding the bugs to study how to fight the diseases that they carry. If you ever had a potential site for some catastrophic zombie apocalypse movie ready to roll, you have to admit, this is ground zero. All joking aside, this is pretty amazing and maybe in such a messed up year as 2016 has been it should give us some hope that human kind is actually working to better the world and some people are still pursuing good an noble goals.
While we’ve mentioned Zika in the past, obviously this is a bigger picture effort, battling what can rightly be termed as plagues upon humanity.
