I love to travel, as most people probably do, and I do it a lot, whether its simply weekend drives out of the city, traversing back and forth across the coasts to visit family, or more adventurous time away with the wife and kids. I have a couple of great, medium sized travel bags that do a good job, look smart and work well for pretty much any trip, but here’s the catch, they’re a little too grown up for me, heavy canvas, good leather straps, stylish, but sort of slightly uncomfortable to carry further than a couple yards. I really want a backpack again, I remember my days as a college student, traveling across Europe, hopping on the train, pack slung over my shoulder. While I’m not really in to the idea of hoofing it on a train for 14 hours anymore I’d really like to get back that easy care, lightweight pack style bag that I can toss around anywhere, stuff with clothes and whatnot, sling over a shoulder, have a couple handles. I’m willing to give up some of my urban stylish look for something that works. Enter, the best travel bag ever, The North Face Basecamp duffel. The photo alone should illustrate its versatility, exactly what I’m looking for. It comes in an amazing plethora of color combo’s that is far to varied to even begin to discuss here, but if you just want a simply dark color, so as not too look way too sporty, they got that. Of course, as a brand, The North Face is pretty cool, it gives you some good street cred for being an outdoorsy type, and rugged.
